Community service and other charitable acts are a part of the culture of many if not most of our National List Member law firms. Our own Kacey Rask joined and has served on the board of a group for professional women called “The BisMan Stilettos.” These women share a love for service in their community. A requirement of membership is 12 hours of service a year. Kacey enjoys the service and also finds the group to be a good source of networking. Recently, she rallied the NL Team to participate in The BisMan Stilettos’ “50 Acts of Kindness Campaign.” To reach our goal of 50, and with Kaitlyn and Brittany as co-captains, each NL team member completed and reported on 6 or more acts of kindness on a spreadsheet that everyone could read. It was inspiring to see how our team pulled together and to see what acts of kindness they done.
What does your office do in and for your community? We would love to hear your stories!
As part of our “50 Papers in 50 Days” 2013 State Laws Campaign, a blog was published on the author of each paper. One suggestion we made as to what the authors could say about themselves and their firm was “What charitable work do you or does your firm do &/or support?” A few, but not all of the responses are reported below. We hope they will give your firm some ideas as to charitable work you could do as individuals and as a firm to serve others, bring your team together and enhance your image in your community.
